to wake up at 7:30 am and to go to school at 8:30 am is a not an easy thing to do when during the weekdays i am actually in 'vacation'!
So, i finally arrived in the classroom at 9:30 am. i was late but we didn't do anything until 1 pm.!!
The classroom is in the basement, meaning that there is no WINDOW. I hate that. Then, they put the HEAT on! I don't know who did that. It was like HELL! The security agent couldn't do anything and of course, there was nobody else around to ask for help. We escaped the class at 4:15 pm (instead of 5pm) half asleep.
Next Saturday, i am going hiking!

crazy me!
Done! Finally after 5 years of debate, I decided to register to L'Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec. For what? To have less money in my pockets (since I will have to pay annual fees) and to be able to add the 3 letters (ING) at the end of my name, as if it would change my life!!
No, the only reason why I want to be part of the OIQ is to have the right to sign photos for passports, that's it, that's all ... Till then, i still have a long way to go ... hhum, i mean to wait ... the process is never simple! ARRGRRRHHH, the bureaucracy!!!

incredible but true ...
For the 50th anniversary of McDonald's, they have launched some specials, like 2 double cheeseburgers for $3 and 2 double hamburgers for $2! Last Sunday, as I was waiting for some friends at McDonald's, I saw trays filled with 8 burgers each time! Was there a contest or something?? That's scary!
Who's to blame? McDonald's for encouraging people to eat more for less or us who gave in so easily ...?
I noticed a while ago a social phenomenon. Now, more and more old people eat at McDonald's and usually, they are by themselves, lonely. Our old people are getting poorer and poorer. They can't afford to go to a nice restaurant. They are also abandoned, sort of speak, and lonely. They eat ... alone. how sad!

The war continues ...
Just realized this morning ... Yahoo mail is giving people 1GB of storage! Wow! But Gmail is still way ahead with its constantly increasing size of storage (now, it's 2.157GB). Also, I just upgraded my laposte account to 100MB, it seems so small now compared to the others!
But, i have some friends who are still with hotmail and have only 2MB!!! It's so frustrating when my mails come back to me! Please, go to gmail!!!!
Soon, i can start forwarding videos and big stuff!!! YOUPI!!!!! it's so exciting!!!:-P

i am broke...
Officially!!
The less I have and the more I spend. That's my paradox! This week was pretty crazy. I went out a lot (to eat, man I am fat!!!) and bought gifts for friends leaving Montreal. So, those are happy times for sad events :) That's life!
When I have no much money, I want to spend it all, and usually, it's on gifts and food. Because, what can you do with a small amount of money??!!!!
But when I have more money (when I work), I know that I can save more so I spend less.
wish i could buy a house or car ... one day ... soon :)

meeting homeless people
This Sunday, with some friends from church, we went to downtown to distribute some sandwiches to homeless people. I think it is actually the first time that I have ever spoken to a homeless person. What struck me the most is their happiness and degree of satisfaction. It seemst that, in Montreal, there are so many shelters and social places to help them out that they don't feel the need to get out of their condition. They looked so happy and talked with pride of their situation. Don't they have ambition, dignity??? I guess i have to ask them those questions next time. Of course, I can't juge them, i will wait for them to tell me their stories, how they ended up in this situation.
I met also two other younger homeless people from ottawa. They were so grateful to have something to eat! They were all friendly :) that's because, I avoided those who seem to me too aggressive or mean. But aren't they in need too? Why don't I choose to help them too? Maybe it's our fault that they have become defensive and aggressive because of our ignorance and heart heart??!!
I have to think more about those issues ...

Weirdest interview ever!
My interview on Friday was so strange ... I still wonder how it happened :)
We started around 5:20 p.m. They are all so busy, each time, I had to wait for someone. So, this guy comes in and asks me where i come from. "Montreal?" I said, not sure what he meant. He continues, "good, but which school?", ouf, now, i can answer properly. After a few minutes, he looks outside and marvels at the view of downtown and the river. Indeed, it was beautiful! But, i am not sure if it was the right time to say that :). The other guy digs into the conversation and states that they love their office so much that they have renewed the lice for another 15 years!!!! I was so surprised! Then, both of them were talking about how they have been renovating the office, specially the carpet, they just got some new ones and they, themselves, have chosen them. They insisted so much on this fact, they chose them THEMSELVES.
They are big dreamers, they were digressing about their vision of opening an office in China, Beijing or Shanghai. They often talked to each other.
Conclusion: I didn't say much. I wonder if they have already made up their mind. And this interview was just a formality. I hope so because I was a little bit lost, and couldn't answer the questions with all my enthusiasm!!

Ah! entrevue quand tu me tiens!!
incroyable mais vrai. pour la 2e fois de ma vie, j'ai utilise un fer a repasser! A cause de cette entrevue avec les avocats, je dois avoir l'air impeccable. ce qui est presque une mission impossible pour moi! :) mais je m'attele a la tache du mieux que je peux!
J'ai donc essaye de repasser ma chemise, mais rien n'a faire, elle s'entetait a rester froissee!!! Y a-t-il un manuel quelque part dans cet univers qui montrer comment repasser?!??!!
De toute facon, je n'ai plus le temps, l'entrevue est dans moins de 3 heures et je dois partir tres bientot, ... encore une fois, ca ne va pas etre ma tenue qui va charmer ces messieurs, loin de la ... Ah! faut croire que j'ai d'autres cartes ... oui faut y croire!

I must admit, sometimes, The American do come up with interesting ideas for Marketing.
For example, let's take the new variety of the chips PRINGLES. Each chip is printed with a question on it. If you answer it, you can eat it, otherwise, too bad for you. It's a combination of PRINGLES and the trivial puirsuit game. You eat and you can get smart!WOW! everything to encourage people to eat junk food!!!
Here is a new way to get rich!

Ce que j'ai vu aujourd'hui ....
J'ai vu un homme obese essayer de rentrer dans une smart. Il a fini par reussir mais ca n'avait pas l'air d'etre tres confortable! C'etait drole a voir!!!
Pour la 1ere fois a Montreal, je suis montee au 25e etage (je crois). Il n'y a pas beaucoup de gratte-ciels, ici! La vue etait superbe, surplombant le centre-ville et le coin de la gare Windsor. Les hotels Reine-Elizabeth et Marriott sont impressionnants!
Je redecouvre Montreal :)

la grandeur de l'Egypte ancienne ... perdue!
Le weekend dernier, ce fut la visite au musee des beaux arts pour la fameuse exposition venue tout droit du British Museum sur l'eternelle Egypte. Les steles, les hieroglyphes, les statues des pharaons, il y en avait tout plein. Ca couvrait tout de meme 3000 ans d'histoire et de culture! Je suis etonnee a quel point les statues en bois sont bien conservees de la 1ere epoque de la civilisation egyptienne ... a tel point que ca me fait douter de leur authenticite ... a mon avis, ce sont des copies! Malheureusement, il n'y avait ni momies ni Cleopatre :( ... Je ne sais meme plus il y avait combien de dynasties ... une trentaine ...
Je n'ai pas ete tres impressionnee par cette collection, qui est pourtant plus riche que celle de Louvre ... Peut-etre que j'ai grandi, je ne vois plus les choses de la meme maniere!
Dommage que les differences entre epoques n'aient pas ete assez bien soulignees en termes de traits marquants. Je me demande si je voudrais vivre dans cette civilisation ...
Mais l'Egypte restera toujours l'Egypte! Vive les pyramides!
Je n'ai pas ete tres impressionnee par cette collection, qui est pourtant plus riche que celle de Louvre ... Peut-etre que j'ai grandi, je ne vois plus les choses de la meme maniere!

Le premier ...
Ce matin, ma mere a trouve le premier cheveu blanc sur ma tete!! Enfin, la sagesse commence a m'envahir!
Ce changement de couleur m'impressionne au plus haut degre! Un cheveu tout noir qui devient tout blanc! Ca prend quelque chose quand meme (ou ca perd quelque chose!)
Il y a des miracles qui surviennent devant nos yeux et on les remarque meme pas!!
A quand le deuxieme? ... comme cela, je n'aurai pas a me teindre les cheveux!! Comme c'est pratique!!!

This Saturday, I went to Ottawa for a peaceful protest against the redefinition of marriage, which is the foundation of our society. It is not a light matter. All the religious communities were present, we were united on that question.
It was good. Hope Paul Martin and his crew have heard us ...
