Pessah!

Before I forget i have to write it down!

This Sunday, our church invited a messianic Jew to give us a presentation on the rituals of the Pessah Supper. It was very interesting as everything that God had commanded them to do, more than 3000 years ago, were a symbol to Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. It's amazing how this Supper is relevant in the light of the New Testament. It's too bad that the Jews don't know the NT and that the Christians don't really practice the OT's rituals!!! OT and NT complement each other!

The unleavened bread is pierced and has stripes, it represents the body of Christ. There is an extra cup and chair around the table, because they are waiting for Elie (Elijiah) to come first before the return of Jesus Christ.

Jesus didn't watch his hands before the Supper because He is Holy and clean and without sin. That was interesting to notice.

What else?? Some days before Pessah, they have to take a lamb of 1 year old without any default and it has to stay 4 days in the house, so that the father can examine it and after 4 days, he can declare the animal to be without any default.

Well, Ponitus Pilate, declared Jesus to be without fault after the trial :) Jesus is perfect and was the lamb to be sacrificed for our sins!
